Cropped Pants, Pendant Necklaces, Mélisse and the resurgence of purple...

This is what I’m slowly seeing creeping across my Instagram feeds and New York walks. We have range people, from cups, to serums to necklaces. Here we go.

Items that will go quickly

Epicutis Lipid Serum: okay so I've been seeing people rave about this on niche skincare TikTok for a while…but it wasn't until I saw Stassie (Kylie Jenner's best friend) post about it in her unsponsored skincare routine that I actually bought it Lol. Hear me out: this girl has access to the best skincare and dermatologists in the world. If she's using it with zero incentive? I trust.

Reformation Low Waist Midi Skirt: midi skirts are very in and so it this shade of blue. I absolutely love it paired with a graphic tee, mixing tomboy and feminine, and think it will sell quick!

Reformation Butter Yellow Dress: Okay don’t kill me, another Ref dress, but this cut out back slip dress style has been so in recently and I love it. Size 0 is sold out and size 2 is low stock. Run!

The Nili Lotan Shon Pants: They just restocked!! Get them quick.

Love these Levi shorts: they look very vintage, I would size up a size to make them a little looser.

Prada Sunglasses: Prada has been out of stock for a while but I found them on Sunglasses Hut. They are some of my favorite sunglasses, I just tried them on in store and they are so good. Update: I bought them in Rome.

The Perfect One-piece: I ordered this a few months ago and have fallen in love. I’m usually not a one piece person because I prefer a bikini but, the cut and fir of this one pieces is so flattering and sexy. I need it in every color.

Cool Flip Flops: I have been eyeing these, I love the studs, it is a small detail that levels them up so much. As you know, black leather flip flops are very in right now, this is the pair I have and love (just restocked btw), but I also love the studs.

New Active Wear: Form has released some really cute active wear. I just got this sports bra in the mail and love it.

Trend Spotlights

Cropped Pants

They don’t have to be the shortest pants but as long as they show your ankles. Very early 2000s, the older sister of Capris, which were really big last year. I just ordered a pair from Reformation. Can’t wait to see more people wearing them.

Pendant Necklaces

I love a chunky pendant necklace and recently everyone else has too. AtPresent makes one of my favorites right now, but also there are some great ones on Moda . I’ve also recently discovered Timeless Pearly, a Parisian jewelry brand that is based around fun beads and gems, and has a very ‘child-like’ approach to their designs. Everything feels relaxed and slightly imperfect, but beautiful. The necklace on the far right is one of theirs.

Louvelle is still killing it

I got my Louvelle bag in the other day. A croc Balenciaga mini rodeo bag. Incredible. You all need to check out Louvelle to borrow your next luxury item. Perfect if you don’t feel like fully committing to buying.

Courtney Grow’s new collection with Ref

The highly anticipated drop of the Courtney Grow collab with reformation arrived June 1st. I bought the red bikini, red ballet flats, t-shirt, striped trousers and her iconic sequin dress… oops.

My takeaways are: lot’s of purple. Purple is back. Also bright electric blue. Two colors that feel very new to me but are slowly growing on me, at least the blue is. Courtney is known for her satin sandals, she wears a vintage Manolo pair that everyone raves about, so of course she had to make a satin sandal. Satin/silk are very in. So are rolled jeans, I’ve started to see more people buy over sized jeans and roll them over at the top. This can be tricky to do sometimes, so she made pre-rolled jeans. Handy.

Mélisse

Mélisse is a new bag brand that takes deadstock fabrics and transforms them into one-of-a-kind statement bags. They come in limited drops and they are recognizable by their beaded fringe detailing. I purchased one of the bags from their first ever drop, the second my friend showed me I fell in love. I have been slowly seeing this bags on the cool women of NYC and have to share. She just did a collab with Moda Operandi and there are some great pieces.

Apologies for the MASSIVE delay in this post. I’m in Europe, so watching what is cool in NYC has been a little difficult, but this is what I was seeing from two weeks ago/ the social media world. Keep an eye out for Cool Edit 4!
